Gandhi said: " You can not change people. You must be the change you'd like to see in people. " Nothing is more motivating than being an example. When you're first in line and solve the problems alone, the other stimuli, and when you did things you'd like others, will inspire them. Be a source of inspiration. Do your employees prefer to be inspired rather than scolded or corrected.
In terms of motivation, lead by example, has a greater impact and more durable than any other technique and changes people in a deeper and more complete. So be what you want to see in others.
If you want your employees to be more positive, be more positive if you want to be more proud of what they do, be more proud of your work. Show them how it's done. Do you want it to look good and dress in a professional manner? First one to do. Want to arrive on time? Always arrives early (and explains why ... make it clear what it means to you on time, not for them).
