Orbiting at an average distance of 384,000 kilometers from Earth, of which it is the only natural satellite, its rotation period is identical to the orbital period, and only allows the observation of the same face always. The visible side, is characterized by about 30 000 craters, all by meteor impact, the largest of which reaches a diameter of more than 18 00 Km (for comparison, just think that the crater created by 'asteroid probably caused the disappearance of dinosaurs on earth, it is about 300).
